Being Human (US) Episode 206 “Mama Said There’d Be Decades Like These” Recap
Thanks to The Examiner for the recap. Syfy’s Being Human episode 206 “Mama Said There’d Be Decades Like These aired on Monday 20th.
Sally
Sally finds out that her mother is dying and goes to the hospital to be there for her dad as she dies. But death is not the same for her mother as for her; because her mother had a lover she knew nothing about, who is also a ghost. The mother/daughter bonding that Sally was looking for didn’t happen.
Josh
Josh finds out that his girlfriend has killed her ex-boyfriend and that the purebreds helped her or coerced her into killing him. Taking a chance he asks the newly turned cop vamp to help him with Nora’s case.
Aidan
Aidan was the biggest surprise of the episode. After consuming massive amounts of blood, he starts having visions of Bishop, telling him to kill Henry and even Josh. Poor Aidan is losing it and can’t seem to get a grip on reality as the Bishop-vision talks at him like a chattering magpie.

Since new episodes of The Vampire Diaries won’t return until March 15th, we still have the reruns to tie us over. Tonight’s episode is Caroline Forbes birthday and we all know that any type of event in Mystic Falls does not go well.

Johnny Depp and Edgar Wright to adapt “The Night Stalker” for Disney
Deadline Matheson is reporting that Disney has signed Edgar Wright to direct an as-yet unwritten re-imagining of The Night Stalker with Johnny Depp as the embattled reporter Kolchak. Darren McGavin brought the intrepid journalist to life in the mid-seventies series as well as the two TV films that preceded it, and Depp’s peculiar peccadilloes make him a solid fit for the character.
Kolchak covered crime for a Chicago newspaper, and his specialty (or his curse) was in always getting the stories that involve the supernatural. He helped stop vampires, zombies, and more even as those around him failed to see the truth. It was a monster of the week show, like non-mythology episodes of The X-Files, but McGavin’s charm and the character’s attitude made it a fun series.

True Blood actress Melanie Camp will portray Dorothy for season 5
Last time I posted about actress Melanie Camp will be guest starring in season 5 of HBO television series “True Blood“, well, now we know the name and info about her character.
According to IMDB, Melanie will portray Dorothy in episode 5.03 as a flashback to 1905, this pretty young prostitute has been glamored and is being drained by two vampires when another vampire saves her. 1 line, 1 scene. This role requires nudity.

Carnival du Vampires Rock coming to Playhouse
Thanks to Mercury for the heads up. Carnival du Vampires Rock is coming to Playhouse at Weston, on March 16, 2012.
In a story set in the year 2030, the supremely evil Baron Von Rockula goes on the hunt for a bride in New York, which is overrun with vampires.
The frightful businessman stalks the city for an eternal wife, while plotting how to convince her to become immortal.
Written by and starring Steve Steinman, Rockula is also joined by the talented singer Pandora, played by Hayley Russell.
She quickly becomes the fixation of the evil wife-hunter when he holds open auditions for a lead singer to accompany his band, the Lost Boys.
The show follows Rockula and his sidekick Bossley the janitor, played by John Evans, as they attempt to convince Pandora to seal her fate and resign her soul to rock and roll.
Some of the greatest rock anthems are wound into this magnificent performance such as We Will Rock You, Bat Out Of Hell, Sweet Child O’Mine and I Love Rock ’n’ Roll.
With superb singers, stunning pyrotechnics and dazzling stage sets, Carnival Du Vampires Rock will be at The Playhouse on March 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £19-21, are available from the box office on 01934 645544.
