Zap2it writer Carina recently talk to Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola at the Teen Choice Awards 2012 to talk about her web series “Dating Rules From My Future Self” and spoilers about the much anticipated season 4 of The Vampire Diaries.
This summer, Candice had the opportunity to shake off some of Mystic Falls’ perpetual misery and angst in exchange for some good fun comedy when she starred in Season 2 of “Dating Rules From My Future Self.” The web series will premiere next week (August 2) on Hulu.
“It was so much fun,” she tells us. “It’s all comedy, and it’s all rom-com style, it’s all fun. It’s about a girl named Chloe Cunningham. She’s 26 years old, living in Venice, and just dates loser after loser. And just, purposefully is like, ‘I don’t believe in love.’”
For the first time, Candice has a producer credit on “Dating Rules” — but she says she’s not looking to start making more executive decisions on “The Vampire Diaries.” “It does make me listen to the conversations had around me in a much different light,” she tells us. “And looking at it [from] more of a business perspective as well as a creative one.”
