Paul Wesley Interview with FanBolt.com – Wants Stefan and Klaus Sexy Time

FanBolt.com got a chance to talk with The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley about wanting to play Rippah Stefan again, Stefan and Klaus sexy time, and more.

In terms of his guilt, I’m sure Damon’s not helping with that.

Paul Wesley: Yeah, Damon’s throwing it in his face. We saw in the little teaser, he was like, ‘now we have another quarterback,’ you know. He always gets his snazzy lines. Um, yeah Damon’s definitely sort of, now walking around thinking that he’s the — ‘Hey, if you were me, I would have done this.’ — and he has valid reason, it makes sense, you know. Yeah, and you know, I think it’s important that the audience knows, and I have to know, as an actor why would I leave her down there. You know, the whole thing is I didn’t mean for her to die, I was just grabbing Matt first, ’cause that’s what she wanted. He was going to come get her, but… Oops! *Laughs* Oopsies! She’s dead!

What will this mean for Stefan and Elena? Because Elena did choose Stefan, but he doesn’t know that.

Paul Wesley: Well yeah, he doesn’t know that, and also, now that this [Elena turning] happened, who knows if her choice is valid anymore. I think due to the circumstances and the fact that she now remembers everything, I think now her choice can be a bit skewed in a different direction. Which means maybe Stefan will have a new romantic interest!… A hot dude.

While on that subject, how long until we see…

Paul Wesley: On the subject of hot dudes? Klaus. Well said. I don’t know, I’m hoping they bro-it-out and bromance-it-out. Get wild, you know? Get sexy with each other. I’m hoping that they get sexy with each other! My wish for season 4 is for Klaus and Stefan to get sexy.

Daniel Gillies Interview with the Chicago Tribune

Chicago Tribune recently spoken to Vampire Diaries star Daniel Gillies on July 17th, 2012 about his childhood, his favorite places to travel, working in Canada for his new tv series ‘Saving Hope‘ and more.

Q. What was the first trip you took as a child?

A. I moved to New Zealand from Winnipeg when I was almost five. I hated it. It was to a city in the south of New Zealand called Invercargill and there was constant rain. There was a depressing sensation in the air.

Q. Canadians and Kiwis both have a reputation for being incredibly polite. In your opinion, is this warranted?

A. The Japanese are incredibly polite. Tahitians are genuinely, uniquely and inherently polite. Kiwis and Canadians? No. New Zealanders have conventions and pleasantries, but we are direct. We are encouraged to be transparent with our behavior and not to employ passive aggression. It’s what I admire about them. Kiwis are fiercely proud of their country. If you adore New Zealand and you express that to a New Zealander, they will love you forever. Canadian humor is a whole other realm. This is perhaps where I see the greatest similarities between Kiwis and Canadians. We also live beneath the shadow of two vast countries. We’re both enormously self-deprecating. However, when we travel, we’re pretty universally loved. Tell people you’re a Canadian or a Kiwi when you travel and they’ll adore you. I have American pals who lie and say they’re Canadian in order to receive better service and treatment when they’re abroad.

Q. You’re back in Canada working. What has surprised you the most about that country?

A. Put it this way, I’ve lived in Los Angeles for a decade. I’ve been out thousands of times. I have never seen a single bar fight in L.A. Ever. I’ve been here in Canada for four months. Since I’ve been here, I’ve seen several brawls in drinking venues. To be honest, I found Toronto a little hostile when I first came. Though you could hardly call that Canada, since Toronto is just one region. I adore it now. The city is so rich with culture and activity. But it took a little time. Los Angeles was far more welcoming and warm. I’ve found that Americans, generally speaking, are more immediately hospitable.

The CW New Tagline and Ad for The Vampire Diaries

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW Network has reveal a brand new tagline.

The CW is getting a new look. Beginning in August, the younger-skewing network will debut a new tagline, “TV Now,” part of a larger image campaign. The refreshed look will be rolled out in on-air and in online spots as well as on billboards tied to The CW’s new fall fare, including ArrowEmily Owens, M.D. and Beauty and the Beast.

“One of the things that we kept hearing was that this is a generation of people who say, ‘I know what I want, when I want it, how I want it, and I want it now,’ ” says CW executive vp marketing and digital programs Rick Haskins, the exec behind the network’s “Every Parent’s Nightmare” (Gossip Girl) and “Catch VD” (The Vampire Diaries) campaigns. “We wanted this to be emblematic of who we are for them, and we are TV now.” (In contrast to other recent rebrandings at Lifetime, Style and E!, The CW logo will remain.)

“The story today is about the huge push to mobile and digital [platforms],” Haskins says, adding, “That doesn’t mean that we’re moving away from social media; we’re just doing it in a more subtle way because it is now a foregone conclusion.”
