Huffington Post Interview with Candice Accola

In an interview with Huffington Post, The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola talks about Caroline helping Abby, Alaric and Caroline have a serious talk, and Stefan and Caroline’s friendship.

Many fans of “The Vampire Diaries” want to see more screen time between Caroline and Stefan, and they just might get their wish in Season 4. Wesley recently told HuffPost TVthat the two will reform their close friendship next season — a decision that Accola very much appreciates.

“I loved the compatibility between those characters,” said Accola. “It’s a surprising one, but it also makes perfect sense. I love that Julie [Plec, the show's executive producer] has compared their friendship to what Stefan and Lexi had. Caroline fills that female friend void for him. I know we haven’t really seen much of it this season — and we haven’t really seen Caroline help Stefan through his Ripper phase — but she’s also been very preoccupied with helping Tyler with his own demons and transitions.”

Entertainment Weekly Interview with Candice Accola

Entertainment Weekly recently spoken to Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola about Caroline teaching Abby to survive with what she is, Caroline-Klaus-Tyler drama, how emotional the season finale will be, and her favorite season finale moments in television.

And speaking of TVD‘s May 10 season finale… we know from Twitter that the cast now has the script in their hands. “I won’t reveal if I cried or not… Okay, fine. I totally cried. But in really unexpected moments,” Accola says. “It really is so great. I think the viewers are gonna be so happy with it.”

Since she can’t share more than that, we ask her to name her favorite TV season finale ever: “When Meredith and Derek finally got together at the hospital prom,” she says, choosing Grey’s Anatomy’s season 2 ender, “Losing My Religion.” That’s also the first episode that comes to mind when we ask her to name a TV moment that made her cry: “Denny. Denny, Denny, Denny. Denny made me bawl my eyes out,” she says. “And Dawson’s Creek, when Pacey told Joey he was gonna kiss her in 10 seconds, and then there was that space, and then he counted ’10′….”

Accola admits to being “very involved” in the Joey-Pacey-Dawson love triangle when she was younger — which is a nice segue for us to bring up Caroline’s admittedly lopsided love triangle with Tyler and Klaus.

Candice Accola talks to The Hollywood Reporter about Caroline, Stefan, and More

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola talks about tonight’s episode, her character Caroline, Caroline’s friendship with Stefan, the Klaus-Caroline-Tyler issue and more.

THR: Will there be more scenes with Stefan and Caroline before the season is over? There was a wonderful dynamic that formed between them ..

Accola: It surprised me too. I really didn’t expect there to be a funny cadence between those characters’ conversations. It fit perfectly into it, especially at that time with Stefan showing her the ropes because Caroline is the perky “play with me play with me” pesky cheerleader and Stefan is more brooding, serious and so they played well together. I think this season there’s been other things to focus on and Caroline’s taken over Stefan’s place in the sense of showing people who are new in their supernatural ability, how to cope with it. There has been no intention to not have Caroline and Stefan be in scenes together, it’s just there’s been so many plot points and story lines going on right now. They’re still there. I’m sure that they’ll eventually have scenes together again.
