TV Fanatic Interview with Vampire Diaries star Cassidy Freeman

In an interview with TV Fanatic, The Vampire Diaries star Cassidy Freeman talks about her character Sage and what’s going to happen in tonight’s episode.

Sage delivered a pair of shocks to Damon on last week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, first showing up in Mystic Falls after a century away, and then turning on him by burning down the town bridge.

But the unexpected tables will turn on this ancient blood sucker tonight, Cassidy Freeman told me over the phone.

“Sage has a big surprise coming,” the actress teased of events ahead on “The Murder of One.” “And it’s definitely life-changing.”

TV Fanatic Interview with Vampire Diaries Actor Robert Ri’chard

TV Fanatic recently spoken to The Vampire Diaries actor Robert Ri’chard who plays Jamie in the series about Bonnie and Jamie’s possible relationship  and what’s coming up with them.

They may share a last name, but The Vampire Diaries has made it very clear: Jamie Bennett is NOT Bonnie Bennett‘s brother. Did you catch that not-so-subtle line on last Thursday’s episode?

It was reiterated to me again last night on the phone with Robert Ri’chard, who has come on board The CW thriller in the role of Abbie’s adopted son. What did producers tell him about the role when he first signed on?

“They made it clear I’m not Bonnie’s brother,” the actor said. “I’m not family to her, but I’m gonna play an important, personal role in her life.”

Ecorazzi Interview with Ian Somerhalder – Getting Dirty and More

In an interview with Ecorazzi, The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder talks about a new project called “Let’s Get Dirty” and what inspired him to do it.

How did you find out about Estonia’s “Let’s Do It” initiative, and what was it about it that inspired you to do something similar?

Our amazing content coordinators posted the video on the ISF website. I’m on that site daily and saw the video. I was so inspired by the fact that these awesome people were faced with so many NOs and daunting figures and yet they still refused to accept it as impossible. They accomplished what the government could not. They energized 500,000 volunteers and created collective power…how can that not be inspiring?

Do you hope to eventually bring the “Let’s Get Dirty” initiative to other states?

Absolutely! As ISF grows, we hope to partner with like-minded organizations who are interested in creating collective change through group clean ups on a national and global level!

How do you think initiatives like this can create a shift in public consciousness with regards to the environment?

We wanted to take this opportunity to entice people to consider the story behind plastic bottles littering the park. If you haven’t seen the Story of Stuff, or the Story of Bottled Water, you must!

If we shift our understanding that every choice we make shapes our environment, we see that our consumer choices are exceptionally powerful. If you think about a product’s story before you consume a product, it’s easier to make sustainable choices.

Wetpaint Interview with Kat Graham – Balancing Music and The Series

In an interview with Wetpaint, The Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham talks about trying to balance her music career with the television series.

Wetpaint Entertainment: How do you balance your music career with your acting career? Is it hard?

Kat Graham: Yeah which is why I’m glad that we’re going on a hiatus because I’m like, “Oh my gosh. This is really crazy!” I try not to balance it. I try and just do one at a time. I really do. I don’t think it’s fair to my acting and I don’t think it’s fair to my music and I just need to focus on one thing and be great at that. They say you can’t be great doing multiple things simultaneously, you have to pick one and focus on it, which is what I’ll be doing all summer.

Are they both as equal of a priority to you?

Yeah. I’ve been doing acting since I was 6 years old and I don’t know how to do anything besides act and sing, Back in the day you had to do it all — you had to sing, dance, and act. I’m from the old school where that is what I was trained to do and that’s what I am expected to do so it’s weird when people ask me to choose.

Seth Grahame – Smith Talks About Dark Shadows with Fearnet and Collider

Cover of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter...Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter author Seth Grahame-Smith talks to Fearnet and Collider about writing the screenplay for Tim Burton‘s “Dark Shadows” film.

Switching gears to Dark Shadows, Grahame-Smith revealed that he attended a test screening recently and it went very well. He talked about how the film differs from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and addressed fan reaction to the trailer:

“[Dark Shadows] is a completely different type of movie [from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter]. It’s much more overtly funny, it’s PG-13 it’s not R, I would say it’s probably a little more family-oriented than Lincoln in its R-rating gore fest. I think the trailer has kind of confused a couple people because they’re like, ‘Wait, is this not dark? Is it not shadowy? Is it all humor?’ That’s not the case; we have a very funny movie which has some very dark, gothic elements in it.”

Grahame-Smith went on to say that though the film is lighter than Vampire Hunter, it’s still dark when compared to Burton’s recent output:

“To me it’s more of a harkening back to the Sleepy Hollow or Beetlejuice Tim [Burton] movies. It’s not as broadly family as Alice in Wonderland is, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it’s a little darker than that. It’s very different, and it’s epic.”

Eddie Izzard says “The Munsters” Reboot Is Way Darker Than People Expect

In an interview with “Vulture“, Actor Eddie Izzard who has been cast to play Grandpa in the reboot of “The Munsters” now titled as “Mockingbird Lane” has said that the reboot of the 60′s classic television series “The Munsters” will be darker than we will expect, he talks about his character, and why he signed up for the series.

“He is seven hundred and fifty years old, so everyone is a little too young,” Izzard joked to us last night at the premiere of Jesus Christ Superstar. But seriously: What exactly is the intention with this project, which Izzard also signed on to produce? Confessed the actor, “No one has any idea how we’re going to do this, because this was not supposed to be my next move. But you’ll just have to wait and see. It’s a drama, it’s not a comedy, and so you’re just going to have to wait and see what we do with it … But if you know where The Addams Family went from a sitcom to a romantic comedy [when it was remade], ours is going to [change] even more so — but in a different place.” Added Izzard, “I think it’s going to be way darker than people expect.”

Huffington Post Interview with Candice Accola

In an interview with Huffington Post, The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola talks about Caroline helping Abby, Alaric and Caroline have a serious talk, and Stefan and Caroline’s friendship.

Many fans of “The Vampire Diaries” want to see more screen time between Caroline and Stefan, and they just might get their wish in Season 4. Wesley recently told HuffPost TVthat the two will reform their close friendship next season — a decision that Accola very much appreciates.

“I loved the compatibility between those characters,” said Accola. “It’s a surprising one, but it also makes perfect sense. I love that Julie [Plec, the show's executive producer] has compared their friendship to what Stefan and Lexi had. Caroline fills that female friend void for him. I know we haven’t really seen much of it this season — and we haven’t really seen Caroline help Stefan through his Ripper phase — but she’s also been very preoccupied with helping Tyler with his own demons and transitions.”
