‘True Blood’s’ Alexander Skarsgard Talks Shirtless Eric, Plus Sookie Shower Scene Confirmed
The actor and EP Alan Ball address two frequently asked fan questions concerning the budding romance.
On Sunday’s episode of True Blood, we do believe we felt a slight tremor when Sookie (Anna Paquin) asked Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) not to leave and then the two finally engaged in a very hot kissing scene.
It’s a moment that fans of the Charlaine Harris books and the series have been waiting for since it was announced that Eric will indeed be struck with a spell that takes away his memories. So, what’s next?
VIDEO: ‘True Blood’: Sookie Runs, But Not From Eric
At the True Blood panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Skarsgard and showrunner Alan Ball discussed the two topics of much importance to fans: Amnesia Eric’s general shirtless state, as well as the much-anticipated shower scene from the novels that signifies a very important romantic plot point between Eric and Sookie.
Here’s what the two had to say during the panel:
‘True Blood’s’ Kristin Bauer Says Pam’s Vanity Might Even Be More Important Than Eric
“She is pissed,” the actress says of her character on the HBO show.
When we last saw Pam on True Blood, she was running away. Marnie (Fiona Shaw) or the vengeful witch possessing her had just cast a spell that began rotting away her face. And when it comes to her looks, Pam doesn’t play around.
“Every season, we learn something new about Pam,” Kristin Bauer van Straten, who plays the vampire, tells The Hollywood Reporter. “So, last year we learned she had a vulnerable side. And this year, her vanity is probably even closer to her heart than Eric. I didn’t think anything could supersede Eric, but I think her face does.”

Will they or won’t they? Or perhaps more importantly, when will they? That’s the question that fans of HBO’s True Blood often wonder about the complicated relationship between Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric Northman and series heroine Sookie Stackhouse. But a caveat for fans of Charlaine Harris’ novels:

Pregnancy rumors have been circulating around Anna Paquin and her hubby, Stephen Moyer, ever since they got together on the set of True Blood in 2007! In 2009, Anna was spotted wearing a tight-fitting Herve Leger dress to an event, which had fangbangers world-wide buzzing about her supposed baby bump.

“True Blood” is coming at you with another fang-tastic episode Sunday, July 24. We’ve got some preview clips to whet your appetite. Eric Northman receives a visit from Godric, his maker, but since we saw him burn up last season, we’re assuming that’s a dream. Godric wants Eric to feed on Sookie, by the way. Is Eric’s subconscious trying to tell him something?
Meanwhile, Pam, fresh off her Marnie face-burning curse, goes to Bill for help. He initially turns her down and say she told her to stay away from Marnie, but something tells us Pam will not back off.
Finally, Hoyt and Jessica have a nice moment over saving Jason Stackhouse after he collapsed on the side of the road. But something is still weird and strained between them. We hope those two crazy kids work it out, they’re our favorite couple on the show!
“True Blood” airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
Done-it-all Katherine Helmond sinks her teeth into role on ‘True Blood’
It probably shouldn’t have surprised us to see Katherine Helmond turn up in the ghastly precincts of HBO’s True Blood this week.
After all, the grande dame of the small screen has done everything on TV but host Meet the Press.
She’s guest-starred on shows from Mannix to The Glades. She’s had recurring roles on series including Coach and Everybody Loves Raymond. In TV biopics, she’s played everyone from Emily Dickinson to Hedda Hopper.

I’d rather be with Dracula than the Wolfman.
I think, at least in mythology and lore, it seems as if Dracula is more in control of his emotions and his craziness. He’s smart and he has great taste and style. You know what? I’d be afraid that I’d be allergic to the Wolfman.
